Apple Mail Versus Outlook For Mac Is AwfulBut WOW the UI on outlook for mac is awful it needs to be flattened out so bad to be more like the iOS app.

Apple Mail Versus Outlook Mac Due ToFor me personally, although I have the Outlook Mail app, I default to using the stock mail client on the Mac due to the fact that it has a better interface (imo), and that you can use trackpad gestures like swipe to delete. However, there are some features missing from the stock mail client which power users may desire so it really all depends on what you personally need want. Especially the delaying sending by 10 seconds for when you inevitably forget something like an attachment. Continue this thread level 1 3 points 3 years ago I use Outlook for my work MacBook due to integrations with add-ons. Apple Mail Versus Outlook Code In AAlso the calendar features are a little nicer with granular permissions and the ability to color code in a single calendar. I only use Apple Mail on my personal MacBook due to the more appealing UI and the lack of need for extensions. I think I will use it on iOS but stick to the stock on mac since I can iCloud sync them from in the iOS of outlook but not mac. Im doing this just because I can see my Evernote reminders and thats useful. It seems as if its built around users using a single calendar and using categories to categorise appointments, whereas apps like Apple Calendar, Google Calendar etc are built around users using multiple calendars to categorise their appointments. This is fine if you solely use Outlook to organise your calendar, but if you throw any other apps into the mix (e.g. Any iPhone calendar) then you might be frustrated. This said, there are things that I often miss (like dragging an email to the calendar to create a new event, or setting OutOfOffice), just not enough to endure the Outlook UI. The new-style apps going around these dais (MailPilot etc) all send your stuff to third-party servers one way or the other, which I really dont want. They also seem to be designed with the iPad in mind rather than traditional desktop. Its really nice. level 1 1 point 3 years ago Outlook for Mac 2016 isnt bad, I use it all day at work (ExchangeOffice365). Its really the standard if youre in a corporate work setting. Also, you can be part of the preview builds when checking for updates - the latest update actually has flattened out the UI some - I dont mind the UI at all. For personal email, I use Apple Mail sometimes and Gmail in a web browser. But they still dont support iCalendar so its pointless View entire discussion ( 15 comments) More posts from the apple community Continue browsing in rapple rapple An unofficial community to discuss Apple devices and software, including news, rumors, opinions and analysis pertaining to the company located at One Apple Park Way.
